Moblogging from the iPhone

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

A mobile version of Wordpress is available for the iPhone now and this is the first time I’m giving it a try for RunJunkie.com.

So far the app works great and I love how it ties into Wordpress so seamlessly. This app will make it much easier to get my thoughts into RunJunkie from now on; especially since I have more time on my morning commutes to LA.

I’ve finally made the update to WordPress 2.5.1 and everything is running smoothly. The new backend interface is great and I’ve added a WordPress Flickr Manager plugin to start pulling content off my Flirkr account. My Flickr account has been dormant for a long time and I haven’t been using it as much as I’d like to. Now with this new plugin, it’s easier to start displaying some of my Flickr sets. Check out some of the older posts to see new photos. Hopefully over the next few months I can start adding more info about the MX-5 and Gixxer.

Bringing Back Motoring Into My Life

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Years ago, I decided to start a blog for my interests in all things related to cars. That’s when I had the idea to start RunJunkie.com. I had a few iterations of this site, but nothing really stuck and eventually other priorities in my life surfaced.

My interest in this part of my life has been coming back. I’ve always have enjoyed the car life and I intend to put RunJunkie.com back on par with my thoughts and experiences related to motoring.

RunJunkie.com was always intended to be a place where I could post the latest development on my vehicles. Currently I own a 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5 and a 2003 Suzuki GSR-600. I plan to showcase both of these machines on this site plus a history of other vehicles I’ve owned in the past. You could think of RunJunkie.com as my virtual garage. So sit back and enjoy.
